Funeral for a Friend es una banda británica de emo rock formada en 2001 como January Thirst. El nombre cambió con el lanzamiento de su primer EP, *Between Order and Model*, en 2002. Con el lanzamiento de su segundo EP, *Four Ways To Scream Your Name*, la banda firmó con Warner Brothers. Considerada uno de los pilares del emo británico de los años 2000, Funeral for a Friend alcanzó un gran éxito con álbumes como *Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation* (2005) y *Tales Don't Tell Themselves* (2007). Su sonido se caracteriza por melodías emotivas, riffs de guitarra potentes y letras introspectivas que exploran temas de dolor, pérdida y esperanza.
