The Doobie Brothers sono un gruppo musicale statunitense formatosi a San Jose, in California, nel 1969. Il loro sound, inizialmente definibile come rock con influenze blues e country, ha poi abbracciato elementi di soft rock e pop negli anni '70. Il nome del gruppo deriva da un termine slang per indicare la marijuana. La formazione originale comprendeva Tom Johnston (chitarra, voce), John Hartman (batteria) e altri musicisti che si sono aggiunti nel corso degli anni.
