Stratovarius es una banda finlandesa de power metal formada en Helsinki en 1984 por Tuomo Lassila (batería), Staffan Stråhlman (guitarra) y John Vihervä (bajo). La formación que alcanzó el éxito internacional contó con Timo Tolkki en la guitarra, Timo Kotipelto en los vocals, Jens Johansson en los teclados, Jari Kainulainen en el bajo y Jörg Michael en la batería.
