The Cribs sono una band indie rock inglese proveniente da Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Il gruppo è composto dai gemelli Gary e Ryan Jarman e dal loro fratello minore Ross Jarman. Nel 2008 si è unito alla formazione Johnny Marr, ex chitarrista di The Smiths e Modest Mouse, che nel frattempo è diventato membro ufficiale del gruppo. Attivi sul circuito concertistico dal 2002, inizialmente sono stati associati da parte della stampa musicale britannica ad altre band UK contemporanee, in particolare The Libertines, come una sorta di risposta alla popolarità dei gruppi indie rock americani dell'epoca.
