Santana es un grupo musical estadounidense fundado por el guitarrista mexicano Carlos Santana, considerado uno de los más grandes guitarristas de todos los tiempos. El género musical del grupo es principalmente rock con influencias latinas. Carlos Santana nació en Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, México, y se mudó a Tijuana con su familia. Allí aprendió a tocar música de su padre, quien formaba parte de un grupo mariachi. Sus influencias musicales fueron los bluesmen de la década de 1950 y 1960 y los músicos de rock. Tijuana fue su terreno de entrenamiento inicial, tocando en bares y perfeccionando sus habilidades. Después de mudarse a Estados Unidos con su familia, Santana se estableció en el área de la Bahía de San Francisco, donde formó The Santana Blues Band, que luego se convirtió simplemente en Santana. La banda alcanzó el éxito internacional en la década de 1970 con álbumes como *Abraxas* (1970) y *Santana III* (1971), caracterizados por un sonido psicodélico y fusión de rock, jazz y música latina.
