Overkill es una banda estadounidense de thrash metal formada en 1980 en Nueva Jersey. Activos desde 1984, han lanzado 15 álbumes de estudio, 2 EPs, 2 álbumes en vivo y un álbum de versiones. La banda cuenta con un notable mascota (llamado Chaly), un murciélago esquelético con una cara de cráneo, alas óseas y ojos verdes, que aparece en la mayoría de las portadas de sus álbumes. Overkill ha pasado por muchos cambios de formación, con el cantante Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth y el bajista D.D. Verni como miembros fundadores.
