I can see that someone went and left you hanging from a string
And if I pulled hard I could make you do most anything
You can run from the past but mistakes are meant to last
Between the lines these are mine
The moment that you go is the moment that you know
That the best thing in your life is happening
So look me in the eye
And say you'll never say goodbye
I know the best thing in my life is happening now
You can tell your father I know that he won't let you be
Doesn't wanna believe that you see him in me
But the way that you lay so serene inside the gloom
I don't care
I don't care
The moment that we go is the moment that we'll know
That the best thing in our life is happening
So before we say good bye and leave them all behind
Know the best thing in our life is happening now
And I won't let you ever fade
Like a sunburn wasted in L A
And if we fall down breaking all along the way
I'll lift you up and that's a promise that I'll never break
And then you won't and then you won't
We sit on the steps reading graffiti on the wall
The smile on your face, more than words it says it all
On your way you will find the meaning in the rhyme
You are mine
You are mine
The moment that you go is the moment that you know
That the best thing in your life is happening
Before we say goodbye
Just look me in the eye
I know the best thing in my life is happening now
El texto musical THE MOMENT de NINE DAYS también está presente en el álbum Flying the corporate jet (2003)
Nine Days è un gruppo musicale rock formatosi a Long Island, New York, nel 1995. Altri brani rappresentativi del gruppo includono "When I'm With You" e "Homesick", tratti dall'album "The Madding Crowd".
