Kool and the Gang es un grupo musical estadounidense formado en Jersey City, Nueva Jersey en 1964. Inicialmente conocidos como The Jazziacs, han pasado por varias etapas en su carrera, experimentando con diversos géneros musicales, desde el jazz hasta el soul, el funk y la disco. Sus primeros álbumes se caracterizaron por un sonido R and B y funk, con influencias del jazz.
