Insomnium es una banda finlandesa de death metal melódico proveniente de Joensuu. Fundada en 1997, el grupo se distingue por sus influencias del doom metal y letras que exploran temas como la tristeza, la muerte, la pérdida y el duelo. La música de Insomnium también incorpora elementos de folk nórdico/nórdico y música sinfónica, creando un sonido épico y melancólico.
