Me and my little brother growing up,
Mommy shot food, to put clothes on us,
Times was rough, and mommy had enough,
So mommy cried most nights, cause our life was f-cked,
My mommy lost her mum from young .. now she cries,

Me and my brother used to go and give her birthday hugs,
And wipe the tears from her eyes .. like mommy don't cry,
Mommy we're fine, were gonna be alright,
She said, 'Sons we do what we have to, to survive in the slums?
My mommy used to package out the white, to get us
a name brand jacket and some Nikes
To put food in the fridge and get the things that we liked
But it seems, every day's a struggle and a fight
No help, we only got each-other in this life
Struggling to hustle, struggle to get by .

My lifes been painful from the f-ckin' start
Growing up poor, mind state, life is f-cken hard,

What a cheek, At 15, we were shotting draws
16, 17, we were shottin' raw,
Haters, got feds, kicking off my door,
But mommy heard them come and hid my food before they saw,
The next time they raided, they beat me to the floor,
The time after that, the council wouldn't fix our door
We had to barricade ourselves in, paranoid, starin'
Through the peep hole, anytime we hear things
Mommy still cries, still wishing it was better
And shortly after that, eviction written in a letter
