Moby, pseudonimo di Richard Melville Hall, è un musicista, cantautore, DJ, produttore discografico e attivista statunitense nato a Harlem, New York, nel 1965. Iniziò la sua carriera musicale negli anni '80 con il gruppo punk rock The Vatican Commandos, per poi dedicarsi alla musica elettronica con il nome Moby. Il suo stile musicale è caratterizzato da un mix di techno, ambient, house e jazz, spesso arricchito da campionamenti e influenze classiche. Tra i suoi album più noti figurano "Everything Is Wrong" (1993), "Play" (1999) - che ha venduto oltre 12 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo - e "Hotel" (2005).
