Peter and The Test Tube Babies sono una band punk rock formatasi a Peacehaven, Inghilterra, nel 1978 da Del Strangefish e Peter Bywaters. Conosciuti per i loro testi umoristici e ironici, sono spesso considerati parte del sottogenere Punk Pathetique. La band ha debuttato su Sounds magazine nel luglio 1980 e dopo una sessione radiofonica su John Peel Radio One, ha pubblicato il suo primo singolo sull'album di compilation Vaultage 78. Hanno anche contribuito con due brani alla compilation seminal Oi! the Album nello stesso anno. Peter and The Test Tube Babies sono noti per testi assurdi e titoli inusuali, come "The Queen Gives Good Blow Jobs". Nel 1982 hanno reinterpretato il successo di Gary Glitter "I'm the Leader of the Gang (I Am)" nell'album Pissed and Proud.
