Mumm-Ra fueron una banda de rock indie inglesa originaria de Bexhill on Sea. El fundador Niall Buckler tenía solo catorce años cuando formó el grupo, que tomó su nombre de Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living, el principal villano del cartoon de los años 80 Thundercats. La banda llamó la atención pública al actuar en el NME Awards Indie Rock Tour junto a The Automatic, The View y The Horrors. En enero de 2007 también fueron incluidos en la edición de NME como una de las diez bandas que "garantizarían la banda sonora" de 2007. A pesar de su prometedor comienzo, Mumm-Ra nunca lanzó un álbum completo.
