Grinspoon è una rock band australiana proveniente da Lismore, Nuovo Galles del Sud, formatasi nel 1995. Il gruppo è guidato dalla voce e dalla chitarra di Phil Jamieson, affiancato da Pat Davern alla chitarra, Joe Hansen al basso e Kristian Hopes alla batteria. Nel 1995 hanno vinto il concorso Unearthed sponsorizzato da Triple J per Lismore con la loro canzone post-grunge "Sickfest". Il loro album di debutto, "Guide to Better Living", è uscito nel 1999 e ha raggiunto la posizione numero 2 nella classifica australiana. Il gruppo è noto per il suo sound energico e le canzoni che affrontano temi sociali come l'uso medico della marijuana.
