Baby put your jeans on
Put your head on straight
Baby put your mind at ease
On yet another rainy day
Don't get too excited
Keep your temper checked
Just know that I know they ain't seen the best of you yet
Lucky to have met
When we did
I know I'm not innocent of the grey skies in my head
But I think you should hear me
'Cause I meant it when I said
"Never have I ever seen a better day to get up
Doesn't matter 'bout the weather
Now's the time to go and get it"
When you get your hair styled
Come on down the stairs
Turn the TV on and off again
All they do is talk shit
If I had a penny for all your potential
I'd be left drowning, my mouth full of metal
Lucky to have met
When we did
I know I'm not innocent of the grey skies in my head
But I think you should hear me
'Cause I meant it when I said
"Never have I ever seen a better day to get up
Doesn't matter 'bout the weather
Now's the time to go and get it"
Baby I know you're blue
But sometimes you've gotta make a move
And I'll be there with every moon
But we can't keep looking at the same old view
I know I'm not innocent of the grey skies in my head
But I think you should hear me
'Cause I meant it when I said
"Never have I ever seen a better day to get up
Doesn't matter 'bout the weather
Now's the time to go and get it"
