Tame Impala è il progetto musicale del cantautore, multi-strumentista e produttore australiano Kevin Parker. Nato a Perth nel 1986, Parker ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale all'inizio degli anni 2000 con l'idea di creare un sound psichedelico contemporaneo che riprendesse gli elementi della musica degli anni '60 e '70.
