DevilDriver es una banda estadounidense de heavy metal procedente de Santa Bárbara, California. Formada en 2002, el grupo cuenta con Dez Fafara, ex vocalista de Coal Chamber, quien, insatisfecho con la dirección musical tomada por su anterior banda, conoció a algunos músicos con intereses similares durante una barbacoa y una noche en un bar. Fafara, junto con los guitarristas Evan Pitts y Jeff Kendrick, el bajista Jon Miller y el baterista John Boecklin, inicialmente formaron Deathride. Debido a problemas de derechos de autor y al hecho de que el nombre ya estaba siendo utilizado por varias bandas, el grupo cambió su nombre a DevilDriver, una referencia a las campanas utilizadas por las brujas italianas para alejar a las fuerzas del mal.
