Curtis Lee Mayfield (Chicago, 3 de junio de 1942 – Los Ángeles, 26 de diciembre de 1999) fue un cantante, compositor y músico estadounidense. Considerado uno de los pilares del soul y la música afroamericana, Mayfield dejó una huella indeleble en la historia musical gracias a su poderosa voz, melodías pegadizas y letras incisivas que abordaban temas sociales como la lucha por los derechos civiles, la pobreza y la opresión racial.
