We were in upstate Michigan
Taking a nice stroll round the lake
There was a blizzard coming
There was a cool air running across your face
I was picking hydrangeas
And you were picking daisies on the bank
We went home, put it in a bouquet, and wrapped it up in ruby-red twine
Now I'm in the backyard
And I'm just standing there on the grave I dug up
There you were, Jamie
A pile a bones and blue solo cup
I stood there, staring at the cobblestone pyramid of love and memories
I was, I was face to face with eternity
I've been running around
With a bone in my mouth
Like a dog on a leash, catch and release
Teasing me, oh
You're in everything now (You're in everything now)
Like a beautiful rain cloud (Like a beautiful rain cloud)
Like the stars in the sky, fluttering by
Teasing me, oh
Jamie, I never got to tell you how much I liked you
How much I respected the way you put your words together
It always made me feel so tingly down there
The way your eyes were a little bit too far apart (Type shit)
The way your hair was thick, blonde, and full (Type shit)
Oh, Jamie, Jamie, I miss you, I miss you all the time
I'm a medicine man (I'm a medicine man)
I've been flirting with quicksand (I've been flirting with quicksand)
Like a dog on a leash, catch and release
Teasing me, oh
And I wanted to cry (And I wanted to cry)
Looking into you and your blue eyes
You're messing with me, teasing with me
Bleeding me dry
Jamie
Jamie
Jamie
Jamie
I wonder where you went, my love
You were an addictive drug
A take-over-my-life type drug
Want you up inside my veins
Want you up inside me
Wanna be inside your brain
I wonder where you went, my love
You were an addictive drug
A take-over-my-life type drug
Want you up inside me
Want you up inside me
Oh, Jamie
(Such a beautiful boy)
Jamie
Jamie
(Such a beautiful boy)
Jamie
Let's do hot yoga in the building
Right below your apartment
Let's go get Zyn at the market
Don't stop what you're doing to me
Oh, let's go out dancing at midnight
At the Green Hills tennis courts
Let's go make friends at the airport
Don't stop what you're doing to me
Oh, let's do hot yoga in the building
Below your apartment
Let's go get Zyn at the market
Don't stop what you're doing to me
