The Wombats sono un gruppo musicale indie rock originario di Liverpool, in Inghilterra. Il trio è composto da Matthew Murphy (voce, chitarra), Dan Haggis (batteria) e Tord Øverland-Knudsen (basso), proveniente dalla Norvegia. Attivi dal 2003, hanno conquistato un seguito internazionale con la loro musica energica e orecchiabile, caratterizzata da riff di chitarra accattivanti, melodie memorabili e testi ironici e introspettivi.
