Mark Schultz es un cantautor de música cristiana contemporánea nacido el 16 de septiembre de 1970. Creció en Colby, Kansas y se graduó de la Universidad Estatal de Kansas con una licenciatura en marketing. Durante sus estudios universitarios fue miembro de la fraternidad Lambda Chi Alpha. Después de graduarse, se mudó a Nashville, Tennessee, donde trabajó durante ocho años como líder de un grupo juvenil en la Primera Iglesia Presbiteriana (PCUSA) de Nashville.
