Billy Talent es una banda de rock canadiense formada en 1993 bajo el nombre original de Pezz. Los miembros, que se conocieron desde la escuela secundaria, grabaron algunos demos antes de su álbum debut oficial en 1998. Su primer álbum, titulado *Watoosh!*, fue lanzado de forma independiente y logró un éxito moderado a nivel local, pero no logró reconocimiento nacional.
