Gli XTC sono una storica band britannica di rock alternativo formatasi a Swindon nel 1972. Guidati da Andy Partridge (voce, chitarra) e Colin Moulding (basso), i due membri fondatori e principali compositori, hanno attraversato diverse fasi musicali, dal punk alla new wave fino ad un sound più pop orchestrale. Nonostante una certa popolarità negli anni '70, il gruppo non ha mai raggiunto il successo commerciale mainstream, pur guadagnandosi un seguito di culto grazie all'originalità e alla complessità delle loro composizioni.
