Jeff Buckley (1967-1997) è stato un cantautore e chitarrista statunitense considerato uno dei più grandi talenti musicali della sua generazione. Nato Jeffrey Scott Buckley a Anaheim, in California, ha trascorso la sua infanzia tra diverse città degli Stati Uniti, influenzato dalla musica di suo padre, Tim Buckley, anch'egli musicista folk-rock. Dopo aver studiato canto e chitarra, Jeff si trasferì a New York nel 1988, dove iniziò a esibirsi in locali underground. Nel 1994 pubblicò il suo album d'esordio, *Grace*, un lavoro acclamato dalla critica che lo consacrò come artista di talento.
