Ross The Boss è un chitarrista e cantante statunitense, noto soprattutto per essere stato il fondatore e leader della band heavy metal Manowar negli anni '80. Nato Ross Friedman nel 1954, ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale nei primi anni '70 con diverse band locali. Nel 1980, insieme a Joey DeMaio, ha formato i Manowar, diventando uno dei pilastri del movimento heavy metal statunitense. La sua chitarra potente e le sue performance energiche hanno contribuito a definire il sound aggressivo e epico della band. Dopo un periodo di successo con i Manowar, Ross The Boss ha lasciato la band nel 1988 per intraprendere una carriera solista. Ha pubblicato diversi album in solitario, mantenendo sempre uno stile heavy metal potente e melodico. Tra le sue canzoni più rappresentative ricordiamo "Hail to England", "Kings of Metal" e "Blood of My Enemies". Nel corso degli anni, Ross The Boss ha collaborato con numerosi artisti del genere heavy metal, contribuendo a mantenere viva la tradizione di questo genere musicale.
