America es una banda de folk-rock anglo-estadounidense formada en Londres en 1970 por los multiinstrumentistas y vocalistas Gerry Beckley y Dan Peek, y el cantante y guitarrista Dewey Bunnell. El grupo alcanzó la fama internacional con su sencillo número uno "Horse with No Name". America es conocido por un sonido caracterizado por melodías pegadizas, armonías vocales refinadas e influencias del folk y el country. Entre sus álbumes más importantes se encuentran "America" (1972), "Homecoming" (1974) y "Hearts" (1975). El grupo lanzó una serie de éxitos a lo largo de la década de 1970, incluyendo "A Horse with No Name", "Ventura Highway", "Sister Golden Hair" y "Tin Man". Dan Peek dejó el grupo en 1977 por motivos religiosos. America continúa actuando y grabando música con Gerry Beckley y Dewey Bunnell.
