Pegazus es una banda de heavy metal originaria de Melbourne, Australia. La banda fue formada a finales de 1993 por el guitarrista Johnny Stoj y en 1998 ganó reconocimiento internacional después de firmar con Nuclear Blast Records. Su segundo álbum, *Wings of Destiny*, lanzado el 25 de mayo de 1998, fue un gran éxito, convirtiéndolos rápidamente en favoritos entre los fans de heavy metal europeos. Ese mismo año, la banda fue invitada a tocar en el Wacken Open Air Festival en Alemania, uno de los festivales de metal más importantes de Europa, frente a una audiencia de más de 25,000 personas.
