Hozier è uno cantautoris irlandese nato a Bray, nella contea di Wicklow, nel 1990. Figlio di un musicista, ha iniziato a comporre canzoni fin da giovane. Dopo aver frequentato la St. Gerards School e il Trinity College di Dublino, dove si è iscritto al corso di musica, ha abbandonato gli studi per dedicarsi alla sua carriera musicale.
