Korn es una banda estadounidense de nu metal formada en Bakersfield, California, en 1993. Considerados pioneros del género nu metal, han influenciado profundamente la escena musical de los años 90 y 2000. Su sonido característico combina elementos de heavy metal, funk, hip hop e industrial, con letras a menudo introspectivas y oscuras que exploran temas como el dolor, la depresión y la alienación social. La formación original incluía a Jonathan Davis (voz), James "Munky" Shaffer (guitarra), Brian "Head" Welch (guitarra), Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (bajo) y David Silveria (batería). Después del éxito de su álbum debut homónimo en 1994, Korn lanzó una serie de álbumes de gran éxito, incluyendo *Life is Peachy* (1996), *Follow the Leader* (1998) y *Issues* (1999).
