The Secret Handshake fue un proyecto musical del cantante y multiinstrumentista estadounidense Luis Alberto Dubuc, activo desde 2004 hasta 2011. Dubuc, originario de Nueva York, compuso e tocó todos los instrumentos en los discos del grupo, caracterizados por un sonido indie folk con influencias psicodélicas y progresivas. El proyecto vio la luz después de su experiencia en otras bandas como The Black Angels y The Warlocks. La música de The Secret Handshake fue bien recibida por la crítica por su atmósfera onírica y sus melodías envolventes.
