The Kovenant son un grupo musical noruego formado en 1993. Inicialmente se destacaron por su estilo de black metal sinfónico, caracterizado por atmósferas oscuras y melodías orquestales. Con el tiempo, incorporaron elementos de industrial metal a su sonido, creando una estética más oscura y electrónica mientras mantenían sus raíces en el black metal. La banda cambió su nombre de Covenant a The Kovenant en 1997 para evitar confusiones con otro grupo sueco del mismo nombre. Algunos de sus temas más representativos incluyen "The Gathering", "In Conspiracy with Satan" y "Blacken the Heavens".
