Flipper è una band punk rock formatasi a San Francisco, California, nel 1979. Attiva fino alla metà degli anni '90 con un andamento spesso irregolare, si sono riuniti nel 2005. Considerati pionieri del movimento hardcore punk, Flipper hanno influenzato numerose band successive con il loro sound grezzo e sperimentale, caratterizzato da riff di chitarra distorti, ritmi veloci e testi provocatori. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Sacrifice", "Sex Bomb" e "Ha Ha Yeah". Flipper ha pubblicato diversi album, tra cui l'album di debutto omonimo del 1980 e "Album" (1982), considerato uno dei classici del genere hardcore punk.
