Benny Goodman (1909-1986) fue un clarinetista, compositor y director de orquesta estadounidense considerado uno de los pioneros del jazz moderno. Nacido en Chicago en una familia judía, Goodman comenzó a tocar el clarinete a la edad de siete años.
