The Calling son una banda de rock estadounidense formada en Los Ángeles en 2001 por Alex Band (voz) y Aaron Kamin (guitarra). Los dos se conocieron cuando Kamin salía con la hermana de Band. Después de firmar con RCA Records, el dúo reclutó a Sean Woolstenhulme (guitarra), Billy Mohler (bajo) y Nate Wood (batería) para grabar y lanzar su álbum debut *Camino Palmero* en 2001. El sencillo "Wherever You Will Go" se convirtió en la canción más famosa de la banda, alcanzando el Top Ten tanto en los Estados Unidos como en el Reino Unido y apareciendo en numerosos films, anuncios televisivos y programas. Su segundo álbum, *Two*, lanzado en 2004 sin Woolstenhulme, Wood y Mohler, no tuvo el mismo éxito. The Calling están actualmente en pausa, con Alex Band dedicándose a un proyecto en solitario.
