Dirty Pretty Things sono stati un gruppo musicale inglese capitanati da Carl Barât, ex membro dei The Libertines. La formazione del gruppo è stata annunciata a settembre 2005, dopo una disputa tra Barât e Pete Doherty che portò allo scioglimento dei The Libertines nel 2004. Barât aveva lavorato con Vertigo Records e aveva precedentemente rivelato che il suo nuovo progetto era con l'etichetta. Didz Hammond annunciò di lasciare i Cooper Temple Clause per unirsi al gruppo insieme al batterista ex-Libertines Gary Powell e al chitarrista Anthony Rossomando, che aveva sostituito Doherty dopo la sua uscita dai The Libertines. Hanno tenuto i loro primi concerti ad ottobre 2005 in Italia e a Parigi, Francia. Hanno annunciato lo scioglimento il 1° ottobre 2008 e hanno suonato gli ultimi spettacoli durante novembre.
