Basement Jaxx es un dúo británico de música electrónica formado por Simon Ratcliffe y Felix Buxton en la década de 1990. Inicialmente conocidos por organizar una popular noche de club en Londres, pasaron a producir su propia música, lanzando su álbum debut *Remedy* en 1999. El álbum fue un éxito inmediato, con los singles «Red Alert» y «Rendez-Vu» alcanzando el top five de las listas británicas. Su segundo álbum, *Rooty*, toma su nombre de las noches de club que solían organizar y fue igualmente popular, con los singles «Romeo» (n°6) y «Where's Your Head At?» (n°9) en las listas. El video musical de «Where's Your Head At?» muestra monos causando estragos en un laboratorio.
