Michael Kelland John Hutchence (12 gennaio 1960 – 22 novembre 1997) è stato un cantautore e musicista australiano, noto soprattutto come frontman del gruppo rock INXS. Nato a Hong Kong da genitori australiani, Hutchence trascorse la sua infanzia in Australia. Nel 1977 fondò gli INXS con i suoi amici d'infanzia, raggiungendo il successo internazionale negli anni '80 e '90. La sua voce potente e carismatica, unita al suo fascino magnetico e alla sua presenza scenica intensa, lo resero uno dei frontman più iconici del rock mondiale. Gli INXS hanno venduto oltre 50 milioni di dischi in tutto il mondo, con album come *Kick* (1987) e *X* (1990) che hanno raggiunto la vetta delle classifiche globali. Hutchence ha collaborato anche con artisti come Kylie Minogue e Bono dei U2. La sua vita personale fu spesso segnata da alti e bassi, tra relazioni tumultuose e lotte contro la depressione. Il 22 novembre 1997, all'età di 37 anni, Hutchence morì in circostanze tragiche a Sydney. La sua morte prematura ha lasciato un vuoto nel mondo della musica e ha suscitato un profondo lutto tra i suoi fan.
