The Crown es una banda sueca de death/thrash metal procedente de Trollhättan. Originalmente, utilizaban el nombre Crown of Thorns pero se vieron obligados a cambiarlo debido a que ya existía otra banda con ese mismo nombre. Su música y letras están inspiradas en la muerte, temas antireligiosos (en gran parte dirigidos al cristianismo) y la rebelión. Son conocidos por fusionar death metal con influencias thrash. La banda se disolvió en 2004. Después de eso, Lindstrand formó One Man Army and the Undead Quartet. Tervonen formó Angel Blake, llamado así por una canción de Danzig. Ahora se centra en su nuevo proyecto Lady Mourning. Sunesson está en una banda llamada Engel. Olsfelt también está en una banda llamada Stolen Policecar. La banda se reformó en diciembre de 2009 con Jonas Stalhammar de God Macabre como nuevo vocalista.
