Toyah es el nombre de la banda liderada por Toyah Willcox entre 1977 y 1983. El único otro miembro constante de la banda durante este período fue Joel Bogen, principal co-autor y guitarrista de Willcox. Su sonido se caracterizaba por una mezcla de new wave, punk rock y synthpop, con influencias teatrales y un fuerte componente visual. Toyah alcanzó el éxito comercial en la década de 1980 con singles como "It's a Mystery" y "I Want to Be Free", que se convirtieron en éxitos en las listas británicas. La banda se disolvió en 1983, pero Toyah Willcox continuó su carrera musical como solista, lanzando álbumes y colaborando con varios artistas.
