Natas es un grupo de hip hop estadounidense procedente de Detroit, Michigan. El grupo está formado por Esham, TNT y Mastamind. Natas se distingue por un estilo musical que ellos mismos denominan acid rap, caracterizado por letras oscuras y violentas y sonidos basados en el rock. Esham conoció a Mastamind cuando era estudiante en la Osborne High School, donde Mastamind le entregó una cinta demo de tres canciones. Los dos formaron el grupo con el viejo amigo de Esham, TNT. Eligieron el nombre Natas como símbolo de su mentalidad en ese momento y lanzaron su primer álbum, *Life After Death*, en el sello discográfico Reel Life Productions de Esham en 1992. El nombre del grupo es un acrónimo que ha significado tanto "Nation Ahead of Time And Space" como "Niggaz Ahead of Time And Space".
