Michael Nesmith, nato Robert Michael Nesmith il 30 dicembre 1942 a Houston, Texas, è stato un cantautore, musicista e attore statunitense. Noto soprattutto come membro dei Monkees, gruppo musicale pop degli anni '60, Nesmith ha contribuito alla creazione di alcuni dei loro successi più famosi, tra cui «I'm a Believer» e «Daydream Believer». Dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo, ha continuato la sua carriera musicale in modo indipendente, pubblicando album folk-rock e collaborando con artisti come Linda Ronstadt. Nesmith è stato anche un pioniere nel campo della produzione cinematografica indipendente, fondando la sua casa di produzione, Pacific Arts, negli anni '70.
