Steve Winwood (nacido Stephen Lawrence Winwood el 12 de mayo de 1948) es un legendario músico británico conocido por su diversa carrera que abarca desde el rock hasta el blues, pasando por el soul y el jazz. Comenzó a tocar música a una edad temprana, uniéndose al grupo The Spencer Davis Group a los 16 años. Con ellos, alcanzó gran éxito en la década de 1960 con éxitos como "Gimme Some Lovin'". Después de que el grupo se disolviera, Winwood se unió a Traffic, una banda psicodélica que lo vio componer e interpretar éxitos como "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" y "Feelin' Alright". En 1969, formó Blind Faith con Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker y Steve Stills, un supergrupo que grabó un álbum autodenominado antes de disolverse.
