Mindrot è stata una band di doom metal formatasi nel 1989 ad Orange County, in California, da Adrian Leroux e Matt Fisher. La band ha raggiunto un discreto successo nell'underground metal degli anni '90 con il suo sound pesante e atmosferico, influenzato dal proto-doom metal dei primi Black Sabbath e dai pionieri del genere come Candlemass. Mindrot si è sciolta nel 1998 dopo aver pubblicato tre album in studio: "Mindrot" (1992), "The Serpent's Curse" (1994) e "A New Dawn of Darkness" (1996). Tra i brani più rappresentativi della band ricordiamo "Eternal Sleep", "Serpent's Curse" e "A New Dawn of Darkness".
